We’re delighted to announce our partnership with the famous luxury Scottish clothing brand, Slanj, as we create our Kiltwalk 2018 experience.

Kiltwalk 2018 in Glasgow is our first ever and we want to make it a special event. The day brings people together from across the West of Scotland, fundraising for their chosen charity and having a great time together. Sir Tom Hunter, through his fantastic Hunter Foundation, will ensure that each charity receives 140% of the donation value pledged by walkers and supporters, which can make a huge difference to a community charity like us.

For over 20 years, Slanj has been designing, producing, selling and hiring some of Scotland’s most iconic tartan merchandise. Even so, it remains very much a family business, working across Central Scotland but reaching across the world.

Even better news – Slanj are offering free kilt hire for those taking part in the Kiltwalk.

“Slanj is a big family, so naturally we want to support a charity which fits our company culture perfectly. For the 2018 Kiltwalk we will join Home-Start to raise awareness and funds to further boost the wonderful work they do empowering families and help build and support nurturing family environments in the North of Glasgow and Nationwide. Join us in our walk, learn more about Home-Start and get your free kilt hire!”

Alan Webb of Home-Start Glasgow North said “This is a great opportunity for us, working with such an iconic Scottish brand for our first ever Kiltwalk. Not only is Kiltwalk a great opportunity for fundraising, it provides a platform for us to include the families we work with, our volunteers and staff.  We are currently working on ways to make sure there are no barriers for people to join us, helping them get outdoors with their children, realise benefits from exercising, meeting others and having fun together. The support of Slanj will help us do that more than we could have originally planned for.”

We have more exciting news from our partnership coming very soon.  Until then, why not join us at this famous event and support our work with families in Glasgow & North Lanarkshire.
